What drives me as an educator and guides my teaching, learning, doing?

I love inspiring, coaching, and encouraging students to create and innovate independently, to think outside of the box and take risks~

I facilitate self-directed nursing education in my students by using learning technology. Utilizing technology in the learning process fosters engagement, excitement, and aids students in building a presence on the internet.

Here is an example assignment from my Transitions to Professional Nursing Practice!

Instructions

You will create a presentation with your group utilizing the content objectives assigned and using a form creative technology media 

1.  Create a film, blog, website, podcast, Prezi, Thinglink, or Sway to complete the assignment objective.

2. Present the material at the beginning of the class next week each presentation should be no longer than 12 minutes per group.
